As we age, we all are looking for remedies that will help us stay younger looking and more vibrant. You may not have to look too far because what you’re looking for could be right up under your nose. Dr. Makeba Moring who is a holistic health practitioner for over 25 years will guide us through how to live a much healthier lifestyle with vegan meals for the entire family. Let’s see what the doctor has to say.
How did you get started as a holistic doctor?
“I’ve always known since the age of two having memories of wanting people to heal and looking at disease as unnatural, I saw a lot of people in pain physically, mentally and thinking this is not supposed to be like that. That’s what led me to wanting to be a medical doctor coming from the revolutionary family that I come from. I was highly exposed to people like Dick Gregory, Miriam Makeba, they call it black history now, but I was so exposed to it that it also led me to be exposed to veganism. By the time I was 13 I was convinced I wasn’t supposed to be a medical doctor but I had to figure out how to help people heal”.
How did you know you wanted to be a doctor at two years old?
“I know that sounds crazy, but I do have memories that far back. I remember certain periods and certain scenes. One thing I remember is a woman who tried to pick me up. My hair has always been natural, and I had two big afro puffs my mother had me dress cute. So, this woman tried to pick me up by commenting on how cute I was. I remembered her being very aged in the face with hard wrinkles. I think it was before Botox she was a Caucasian woman and I remember being afraid. She was nice but, I remember the thought coming to my mind that humans were not supposed to age like this. Biology in school became my number one love for how things grow, live, die and thrive.”
Do you think you may have been born with a gift?
“Yes, now I know it’s a gift when you’re younger you’re very naive about it and you think everyone thinks like this. Now I have come to learn and have done quite a lot of international travel. I’m a little bit of an enigma so yes; it is a gift. I was very highly spiritual inclined then with memories. It’s so much of a gift that when I got to a certain point in my adulthood, I decided to do hypnotherapy. Because of the gift I’ve been so inclined with I somehow assumed very early in my adulthood it was very more common than what I had experienced.”
Tell me about your Podcast?“The Podcast is The Dr. Makeba Show Podcast. We are on iHeartRADIO, Spotify, Amazon and almost anything that plays music. The Podcast was something I started back in 2020. I have been doing radio since I returned to the US sixteen years ago. I always knew I would do media as far as TV which is a much bigger something to look out for very soon. It was the most common-sense thing to do during the shutdown and it has really blown up. I have content that no one else has and it’s very practical. I talk about anything that has to do with health and wellness and especially Dr. Makeba recipes and remedies.” Be sure to follow her to see what she’s doing next.
Dr Makeba is awesome. Her innate knowledge of healing is so needed in this world today. I am grateful to have been touched by her works professionally and personally. I look forward to her wisdom so that people will understand how to move from the death care system (commonly called healthcare) that we have been led to believe. We need to know how to heal and live.
