A Complete Full Circle: Haus of Vicious Star Lyric Anderson’s Return to Acting.
Lyric Anderson, Haus of Vicious star dishes on her upcoming role, stepping into her own light, and her plans to pursue a law degree.
While many may know the rising star as the daughter of Tami Roman, and retired NBA All Star, Kenny Anderson, Lyric is appreciative of being able to see her parents reach their success and achieve their dreams, which has only inspired her to pursue her dreams as well. When asked if she felt any pressure to live up to her parents’ success, Lyric made it clear that she is her own individual with her own goals and aspirations.
“I have my own aspirations. I have my own goals. I don’t feel any outside pressure. I’m simply doing my best, working to achieve my goals and aspirations, and letting God lead the way.”
Lyric has been able to showcase her talents as a successful actress and model, but there is much more to her than what you may see on Instagram or on your television screen. Lyric would describe herself as being multi-dimensional in the sense that she also has a love for academics and intellect on top of her passion for the entertainment business. In fact, she is set to return to school to pursue a degree in law, hoping to one day blend it all into the world of entertainment– as a lawyer in the sports world, but her current focus is also on her most recent role in Haus of Vicious.
In her role on Haus of Vicious, Lyric portrays the character, Tia, who Lyric initially struggled to relate to. However, as a model Lyric is no stranger to the cut-throat world of fashion, which is explored in Haus of Vicious. Lyric’s character, Tia, can be described as a disoriented receptionist who works for the fashion conglomerate, but there is far more lying beneath the surface than what you initially see from her character.
“I did struggle to relate to the character, Tia, but that is what made the role fun and interesting—being able to step outside of who I am and play a role that is nothing at all like myself is where I was able to “stretch my muscles”.”
Although this is not Lyric’s first acting gig, this could very much be considered her breakout role. From acting, to modeling, to her return to acting, Lyric is excited for the full circle moment to be able to showcase her talents and passion for acting. Starring alongside her mother, Tami Roman, Erica Peeples, Tiffany Black, and many other talented actors and actresses has been a rewarding experience for her.
Haus of Vicious premiered on BET on August 17th, and will continue to air weekly, and you don’t want to miss out on what’s to come. It’s scheming, scandalous, and of course, vicious!
