The Grammys recently announced their nominations for 2023 and proved who indeed runs the world, or at least who runs the music industry. Beyoncé was crowned the most Grammy-nominated artist of all time with an admirable 88 nominations total. She is now tied for the first-place record with her husband, Jay-Z. The achievement comes as she picks up nine Grammy nominations for her seventh studio album, Renaissance

The categories include Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul,” Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, Best R&B Performance for “Virgo’s Groove,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa,” and Best R&B Song for “Cuff It.” They also include heavy hitter categories such as Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Break My Soul,” Album of the Year, and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Be Alive” from King Richard. With a limited promotional and visual rollout, she still managed to conquer the music waves with her beautiful body of work.

Queen B’s Grammy history is as sweet as honey. She became the performing artist with the most Grammy wins ever in 2021, with 28 wins to date. If she wins at least four of the nominations at next year’s show, she will become the artist with the most Grammy wins in history. The November 15 award show announcement is among a long list of records that include the most nominated woman in history, most nominations for Record of the Year, wins across categories and fields, and most nominations in a single year for a female artist (with 10 nominations in 2010). Beyoncé is undoubtedly music royalty.

The 65th Grammy Awards returns to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 5, 2023, and will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ at 8 PM-11:30 PM ET/5 PM-8:30 PM PT.
