The story is set in various locations including Jamaica, Italy, Scotland, England, and Southern California. Cerar is the writer and showrunner of the series, which covers a wide range of time periods. During the late 1960s, there was a runaway bride named Covey who vanished into the ocean waves along the coast of Jamaica. Her disappearance sparked concerns that she may have drowned or become a fugitive, suspected of murdering her husband. In the modern state of California, a widow named Eleanor Bennett tragically succumbs to cancer. As a result, her two estranged children, Byron and Benny, inherit a flash drive containing a collection of previously untold stories.
