Through her angelic voice Yael Hilton brings a message of love and hope to the world

Yael Hilton is a gospel singer, minister and a native of North Carolina. She comes from a musical family and was brought up in a Christian home. Yael has been singing since the age of four like many PK (Preacher kids) she was brought up in church which she always had a great love for and never felt she was pressured to go. Yael also writes her own songs. “I get a lot of songs by bits and pieces, some through prayer. Sometimes they don’t come in full songs at one time I sort of put pieces together and somehow, they all make sense,” said Yael.

Yael just released a new single in February titled “Jesus” her powerful voice will certainly get your attention and touch the core of your soul. Yael is becoming a household commodity throughout the United States and she’s comfortable where she is unless God sends her somewhere else. “I’m good where I am. I tell people I didn’t have to leave to do what I’m doing. He met me where I was. Jesus will meet you where you are unless that’s something you desire” stated Yael. She enjoys traveling out of the state to share her gift but, at the end of the day her desire is to be home in the city of Fayetteville.

Yael also attended school to be a Christian Counselor she’s contemplating on whether she wants to have a facility or online meetings. “You don’t know what people face everyday lots of people are struggling with suicide and stuff like that. It’s something that has been laid on my heart to do,” said Yael. Suicide has become a great concern in the black community according to statistics the suicide rate rose for black Americans during the pandemic.

You must ask yourself what went wrong? When most black children were raised in church and all you had was your faith to get you through. Do we no longer believe that God will do what He said He would do? It’s no doubt that we as African Americans have strayed away from what we’ve been taught and what we believe. There is a thin line between love and hate but, there is also a thin wall between good and evil. If you can’t remember what you need to do when faced with a difficult decision, ask yourself what would Jesus do? I’m sure it will put you back on the correct path.
